The Ultimate Business Lady – Chapter 66

Chapter 66 Perplexed

Yun jia was greatly transformed by her mother. It only recognizes token but not people.

Although all the people in the entire capital were aware of Yun jia family falling Yun Lingxuan’s hands, but they were not aware of the fact that the token required to mobilize the Yun jia’s shops was not in her hands. As such in retrospect, she was not truly in-charge of the Yun jia. While on the other hand, even though Yun Bo was not a nominal in-charge, but in hindsight he has a token with him, as such all the shopkeepers in capital were under his command.

If Yun Bo was smart, he would see to his own business, ignoring the rumours outside.

This sort of rumour, the more it is spread outside, the faster it will be discredited. There is nothing much in it. But instead, if he goes against Shangguan jia head-on, at the end, which side will gain profit and which side will lose, it is still hard to say.

In her perspective, Shangguan jia were sort of people who could employ any means for attaining profit. Yun Bo had to yet to experience this king of level of shamelessness yet. As such it was better for to put this matter on hold.

Regardless of the chaos outside, Lingxuan, unperturbed, learned the rules and customs under Bai momo’s teachings. Making Bai momo value her a bit more. Her attitude of not letting the matters outside affect her, increased Bai momo’s interest towards her. Seeing her determination and ability, she started teaching her even more, including a few rules of the palace. With a sense of propriety Lingxuan grasped everything without any fear.

Under her teachings, even Yun Lingxuan’s temperament became more lively and her demeanour became a bit nobler. But compared with Lingxuan’s calmness, even though she was a two years younger, it was still a bit difficult to attain the same level.

Regarding the outside matters, Lingxuan forbid the manor’s people for specifically ask about them, doing their own works. Dare to be meddlesome, don’t blame her to be vicious and merciless.

All the people in the manor were aware that eldest young lady’s means were even more intense that the furen. Even though everyone was trembling with fear and trepidation, as there was a clear distinction between the reward and punishment, they were also brimming with admiration towards their eldest young lady.

夫人 (fūren): lady / madam / Mrs.(Shangguan Yuan)

“Eldest young lady, it’s already late into the night. These accounts, can’t you look at them tomorrow!?” Cha’er, seeing that Lin mama was asked to withdraw, tried to persuade her.

“I am not feeling sleepy. You go and take a nap in the next room. I will call you when I need you, don’t be here and bother me. ” Lingxuan let Cha’er withdraw. Looking at the jumping sparks in lampshade cover in the dark, somehow made her a bit unpleasant in her heart. She stretched her neck and stood up, before walking to the window, thinking how long the capital would be peaceful.

Looking at the lotus in the courtyard, Lingxuan’s interest suddenly perked up.

This is the time when the lotuses are in the full bloom. Her mother’s place also had one lotus pond, which was specifically remodelled by her daddy so that her mother could enjoy the beautiful sight of lotuses.  As such at this moment, in the entire Yun fu, her mother’s residence, Luohe residence, has the most beautiful view.

Thinking of this, Lingxuan heart gave birth to mischief. Thinking that no one would be there to restrain her, taking advantage of dim light in the night, it would be nice to go there and enjoy the view.

Ever since her parents had passed away, she seldom went Luohe residence dreading that she would overcome by sadness. Even though she was aware that Lin mama was trying to look for something in there, she turned a blind eye.

She knew that Lin mama had ability to find that thing, as such she didn’t let anyone lock Luohe residence.

That was also why even though uncle He had suggested it previously, she didn’t pay any heed to it.

But she had no idea when Lin mama will be able to find that mysterious object. She had no clue what that thing was, but it helped Moqi Lingxuan in ascending the throne.

Even though her mind was perplexed despite persistently pondering over it hundred times, her footsteps still continued to move one, not tarrying even a little bit.

Because of mourning, all the lanterns in Yun jia were white, appearing a bit eerie in middle of night.
